My name is Dave Jansen. I have adopted the section of the Superior Hiking Trail from the Bally Creek Road trailhead, northeast to the CJ Ramstad North Shore State Trail. In the summer, I do all the brushing and weed whipping, plus clear downed trees; as well as can be done with hand tools, at any rate. In the winter, I also break trail (pack down new snow) to make it easier for others with snowshoes or boots to follow in my footsteps.

As time permits, I also help out southwest from Bally Creek Road.

I live in the area, so my goal is to keep the trail accessible all year from the trailheads close to my home, and to let others know what to expect before they head out.
